How to import a PDF and build a symbol within HyDraw CAD

Within this video, we demonstrate multiple approaches on how to import a PDF file into HyDraw CAD and use it within the schematic. We begin by using the PDF Import command. This is achievable thanks to the AutoCAD OEM engine that HyDraw CAD is built on. Several more helpful AutoCAD OEM commands that boost efficiency within this process are explained including the ""Overkill"" and ""Scale"" commands. We then continue to construct the symbol with the proper layers containing the proper line types and colors that match the ISO 1219 standard. Some common HyDraw CAD symbol building commands such as ""Insert Symbol Port"" and ""Convert to HyDraw"" are explained.
